Serving the Mission Valley, the Lake Monsters is a competitive youth swim team that is open to any skill level. Our swimmers regularly practice, compete against other teams across the state, and volunteer within our community.
Our team provides a fun environment for kids to learn lifelong swimming skills, grow their confidence, and become a part of a team while staying healthy. As the local school bus drops students off at Mission Valley Aquatics, our swimmers have a safe environment to go to every day after school.
Practices run every day after school from 4 to 6. Swimmers are split into instructional groups based on their age and skill level and then are given personalized coaching and workouts, both in and out of the water. About every other weekend, swimmers will have the option to travel around Montana to compete and race against other swim teams.
The 2023 short course (racing in a 25-meter pool) season starts in October and will run until early March. Then, in early April, the long course (racing in a 50-meter pool) begins and runs until July. More specific dates can be found on our Team Unify site.
