About 4 years ago, a group of students rallied the school board to add Swimming to the winter sports roster. With the help of Mission Valley Aquatic's offer to host the team, the dream became a reality. Today, the Polson Pirates have found major success and are making waves across Montana!

Since swimming is a new sport at Polson High School, the team is in a 5-year bind to raise $7,000 each year to ensure the success of the team. Therefore, the PHS swim team does a variety of fundraisers every year, like selling Lake Farm Potatoes and raking lawns in the fall. In the winter, the swim team participates in a swim-a-thon. Last year, all swimmers swam at least 100 laps!
